1. Update your blog regularly. How many people will go back to your site if the same words are there every time? Not many!!! So, try to write something weekly or even DAILY! If you can’t afford to dedicate a lot of time, save yourself the bother and give it up!
2. Write about something interesting. No one wants to know what you got up to over the weekend! That’s what Twitter and Facebook are for! Write about something people may want to learn more about. Grab your readers with a catchy title, it’s very easy for them to just scroll past, so make sure you stand out! Once you have reeled them in with the title keep them interested, the back button will always be there!
3. Give the reader some advice, people usually stick around when there’s a money making idea involved or some free marketing. Talk about something they actually want to read, the biggest mistake made in blogging is boring the reader!
4. BE UNIQUE! If all the other bloggers are talking about social networking, talk about SEO, there’s no point trying to compete with the millions of people out there writing about the same stuff. STAY AWAY FROM THE BANDWAGON!
5. Brand your blogs! When writing a blog, make sure your company name is in there somewhere. What’s the point in writing a blog if no one knows where it came from... There is no point!
